Who We Work With
Air source heat pumps for new builds
Are you planning a new build home? We can support you in installing energy saving measures and help you benefit from government-backed schemes to reduce your energy bills.
If you’re at the development stage of your building project and looking at how you can design your new build property with the latest in renewable technology and efficient insulation, Heat From Air can help take the stress out of your hands. Getting us in early at the planning stage means that we will give the property the best chance of remaining as eco-friendly as possible to reduce energy wastage and save on energy bills.
Designed from the outset as a complete central heating and domestic hot water system, our heat pumps for new builds are a robust, 365 day a year high performance system that will keep your energy bills low and reduce the carbon footprint of your modern new build property.
We help many customers take advantage of government-backed grants with schemes such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme where you could save £5000 off your air source heat pump installation cost!
We understand that there might be a lot of information to take in, so we do our best to help our customers find their perfect system, suitable scheme and manage the entire process from start to finish to ensure your switch to renewable heating is as smooth as possible!
Energy efficient new build properties
For a new build property, getting us involved at the start of the project, or as early as possible, means that we help make sure that everything goes perfectly! When planning a new build project there is so much to consider, and it can seem a bit overwhelming. That’s where we come in to help guide, advise and discuss the various options with you.
We can determine when and where your heat pump will be fitted, the insulation you’ll need to make sure the system runs as efficiently as possible, to determining if underfloor heating is needed too.
We have experience of working with several different parties involved on new build projects, and our teams are happy to work alongside and co-operate with architects, developers, builders and other trades.

Heating and schemes for new build properties
When it comes to a new build property, you’ll be wondering what your best options are when it comes to heating, and there are several to choose from. More and more people are moving away from traditional gas boilers and moving to efficient renewable energy systems. Whatever heating system you’d prefer, our team can discuss the best heating options for your home.
If you are opting for a renewable heating system like our heat pumps for new builds, there are a range of grants and funding for eligible new build projects. What is available to you will depend on your circumstances and what energy efficient measure you are looking to install. For example, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) pays out £5,000 towards the cost of an air source heat pump or £6,000 for a ground source heat pump. This could equate to around 30-50% of the installation costs depending on the system you choose. When installing a heat pump, or any other heating system, it is important that your new-build is well insulated. Our team will always survey your and create plans with you and produce accurate heat loss calculations to ensure a heat pump is suitable for your new-build property.
Renewable technologies to consider for new builds
Other things to consider are if you’d like to install solar panels, battery storage and/or EV chargers to future proof any new build property. The latest building regulations are helping to push low energy technologies forward and there are grants and schemes available to help towards the cost. For example, you may be eligible for a grant for an electric vehicle charger under the EV Chargepoint Grant.
Insulation also helps make a huge difference in the amount of heat a property needs. With adequate insulation, your home will be losing less heat, and this will lead to a smaller heat demand for your heating system and save you a significant amount on your heating bills.
