Who We Work With

Air source heat pumps for educational buildings

We support institutions in the educational sector by installing renewable energy and energy-saving systems in schools, colleges, and other educational buildings.

The government continue their journey to improve carbon reduction and sustainability in the UK by allocating a share of £500 million to improve energy efficiency in educational buildings. The funding will help schools and colleges in England upgrade or install new energy-saving measures such as Air Source Heat Pumps. It will also help shield schools from high energy bills during winter.

Designed from the outset as a complete central heating and domestic hot water system and with educational institutions at the forefront of our minds, our heat pumps for education are robust, year round high performance systems built for the UK climate.

We understand there might be a lot of information to take in. We will always do our best to help our customers find their perfect system, suitable scheme and manage the entire process from start to finish to ensure your switch to renewable heating is as smooth as possible!

Improving energy efficiency in schools

Investments to improve energy efficiency in schools and colleges will help minimise energy bills, operating costs and reduce carbon emissions massively. Future proofing these buildings is the best way to make them more energy efficient.

The government have set out a plan stating that schools will be allocated a share of the £500 million to spend on energy efficiency upgrades. Estimations show that on average, a primary school will receive approximately £16,000, a secondary school will get £42,000 and a further education college group will benefit from £290,000.  Improvements could include installing better heating controls and systems, insulation to reduce heat loss from pipes or switching to energy efficient lighting.

The funding will be handed over to the school and college leaders so they can decide what work is needed to improve their energy efficiency. Get in touch to discover our heat pumps for education!

Insulation for school and colleges:

Insulating a building doesn’t just have the benefit of keeping the interior warmer in cold weather and cooler in hot weather, it significantly reduces energy expenses. It’s estimated that a building with no insulation can lose up to 40% of its heating through the roof alone. Installing insulation and draught-proofing will reduce heat loss, and here’s how we can help with insulation measures:

Internal & External Wall Insulation
Insulation can be applied to the exterior or interior face of walls to improve the property’s thermal performance.

Cavity Wall Insulation
If the building has cavity walls, cavity wall insulation can be installed by injecting insulation material into the cavity from the outside.

Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation is effective and non-disruptive insulation measure that is relatively easy to install.

Loft/roof insulation
If the building has access to loft/roof space, rolls of mineral wool insulation can be installed.
